I grew up in Hilmar, California, and graduated from Turlock Christian High School in 1982. My senior yearbook "goal in life" was to be a lawyer.

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Westmont College in Santa Barbara. After graduating, I worked for a general contractor in the Santa Barbara area. One of our jobs was remodeling a home for famous Wyoming lawyer, Gerry Spence. Mr. Spence was a graduate of the University of Wyoming School of Law and had good things to say about the school and the state. A little more than three years later, in 1991, I graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law and returned home. I was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 1991.

I started out working in Modesto for Brunn & Flynn and then moved to Crabtree, Schmidt, in 1992. I became a partner a few years later, when Hurl Johnson left to become a Superior Court Judge. After almost eight years of working with some great attorneys (three of whom were appointed to the bench) I started my own practice in Turlock, where I have been since April of 2000.

My practice has always been primarily civil litigation.
